Issue
Sometimes when uploading a point cloud data on the SC dashboard using projection, the point cloud appears too high above the map.
Cause
This is caused by dashboard handle point cloud data from external photogrammetric software (pix4d, agisoft, etc). SC dashboard doesn't recognize that the point cloud is already on the geoid (orthometric) height and will apply the geoid offset again, thus results to the issue described above.
How to deal
Need to reprocess the point cloud data in cloudcompare to remove the embedded metadata (projection and geoid) in it. See video below on how to remove embedded metadata using cloud compare.
