Introduction
This article provides a detailed explanation on how to adjust data in the application according to survey data information.
By using each optional feature when importing survey data, it can be adjusted in the app.
Procedures and Explanation
1. Click the 【"1" Advanced Settings.】
The "Advanced Settings" has the following features.
- Interpolation (interpolation of point clouds)
- Decimal point (change of data array delimitation)
- Ignore vertical offset (or not)
- Minimum height difference (truncate measurement differences up to a specified height)
2. Set up each function
"Interpolation"
When 【"1" Interpolation】 is turned on, the missing measurement data or the area that is insufficient for the designed area is covered by interpolation from the surrounding point clouds.
Interpolation creates a smooth transition between the terrain data to be joined together. However, if noise is included in the point cloud, it may not match the expected geometry because the points are also used.
"Decimal point"
【"1" Decimal point】 can be changed according to the delimitation of the data array in the point cloud data
"Ignore vertical offset"
【"1" Ignore vertical offset】 is used when the coordinate system is projection (*Not used for localization)
Used only when WGS84 values included in the survey data are treated as positive.
(Tip: Smart Construction Dashboard uses WGS84 for terrain)
If localization data is used when creating a site, the difference in height between the site elevation and the ellipsoid elevation is calculated and used to display the survey data in the Viewer.
If you prefer to use the results of already registered localization, you do not need to select this detail.
Attention
This function is not available if the site is set up to use projection (as of 2023/7).
"Minimum height difference"
This function compares the data with the most recently reflected topographic data and calculates the soil volume only to the extent that the data exceeds a specified threshold value.
This is to reduce the influence of error (height blurring) even when there is no significant change in the topography to be surveyed.
After using this function, if the soil volume is measured using the annotation tool, the values below the threshold are considered to be unchanged and the heat map may not be displayed in some cases.
"Change the projection (only Las data)"
If the coordinate reference system is uploaded incorrectly, 【"1" Projection】 can be readjusted in the app.
Switch “Use custom projection” to ON
Re-set the coordinate system and vertical reference system according to the site settings
